About the Couple

Payton and Colton’s story began in Sun Prairie, WI, where they both grew up. Their paths crossed while working together at the local movie theater in high school. A setting that quietly set the stage for their love story. Over the years, their bond has grown stronger, especially through the simple joys of sharing time at home with their beloved pup.

Colton is hardworking, generous, dedicated, and always ready with a laugh, while Payton brings warmth to every moment with her bubbly, creative, and empathetic spirit. Together, they are the perfect balance of humor, heart, and home.

The Engagement

On February 18, 2023, what began as a belated Valentine’s Day celebration turned into a life-changing moment. After enjoying a lovely dinner, the couple exchanged gifts. Payton was completely surprised when Colton handed her a small box containing the most meaningful gift of all…. an engagement ring. In that quiet, heartfelt moment, their next chapter officially began.

The Big Day

When it came to their wedding day, Payton and Colton wanted the atmosphere to feel eclectic, vintage, and full of personal touches. Over the past year, they carefully thrifted unique décor, bringing in gold accents and timeless details to create a cozy and welcoming environment. Their dried floral arrangements, lovingly crafted by hand, added an extra layer of charm and creativity.

The couple also honored their loved ones by including a memorial table with photos, and a beautiful tribute to parents and grandparents who continue to live on in spirit. Every element of the day reflected who they are as a couple—intimate, thoughtful, and full of love.

Choosing The Hay Loft Barn as their venue was an easy decision. The space gave them the cozy, homey barn setting they dreamed of—rustic but refined—with a full-service bar, gorgeous patio, and plenty of room for their closest family and friends to celebrate.

We are truly happy that Payton and Colton were able to start a life of laughter and love with the people who mean the most!
