About the Couple

Liz, kind-hearted, selfless, and just the right amount of sassy, grew up in Luxemburg, WI. Nate, a carefree goofball with a heart of pure gold, hails from Beaver Dam, WI. Their paths crossed at UW–Stevens Point—though “crossed” might be putting it lightly. After admiring each other from a distance for more than eight months, fate finally stepped in. Two weeks before graduation, the two almost literally ran into each other on a Stevens Point sidewalk.

From that moment on, they were inseparable—walking together to classes, spending nearly every free moment side-by-side, and even entering graduation together. But life wasn’t ready to make things easy. After college, Nate headed into the working world while Liz began PA school, and the two went their separate ways… or so they thought.

Over the next nine months, through visits and long-distance effort, it became clear: living without each other wasn’t an option. And that’s where their story truly began

The Engagement

Liz and Nate traveled to Texas with their friends Bo and Sydney for a getaway filled with rodeo nights in Houston and relaxing days in Galveston. On their friends’ last evening before flying home, the group headed to dinner. After putting in their name for a table, they wandered toward the water to snap some photos.

In that quiet moment by the shoreline, Nate dropped to one knee. Completely surprised, Liz said “yes” to forever—with the ocean behind them, their best friends beside them, and a future full of adventure in front of them.

The Big Day

Their wedding day at The Hay Loft Barn was everything they envisioned: classy, simple, beautifully practical, and sprinkled with sweet touches of their beloved fur child, Maverick. The timeless charm of the barn—and its convenient location near plenty of hotels—made it the perfect backdrop for celebrating their story, from sidewalk run-ins to Texas sunsets to saying “I do.”
