About the Couple

Becca and Cody’s story began in the halls of Hartford High School, where fate placed them together in a Home Maintenance Class their senior year. Cody—quiet, reserved, and impossibly sweet—asked Becca to wear his football jersey for the Homecoming game. That simple gesture sparked something special, and before long, an easy, genuine love began to grow between the outgoing, social Becca and the quietly hilarious Cody.

The Engagement

Six years later, Cody managed to pull off the surprise of all surprises. On a cozy Sunday morning in October, he handed Becca a brownie from his dad’s market Her absolute favorite treat! He told her it had a special Halloween design, but when she opened the box, there was no spooky decoration at all… just a sparkling engagement ring waiting for her. The perfect, personal proposal—sweet, simple, and heartfelt—just like the two of them.

The Big Day

As they began planning their wedding, Becca and Cody focused on one thing: a beautiful celebration surrounded by their favorite people. With a simple, rustic-inspired style and a color palette they loved, they set out to create a day that felt warm, intentional, and joy-filled.

Their search for the perfect venue quickly led them to The Hay Loft Barn. From the moment they stepped inside, they felt welcomed and understood. The thoughtful details, charming design, and the heartfelt care from the Otterstatter family made the barn feel like the right place to begin their forever. Becca shared how wonderful it has been working with Tim, Ben, and Marissa—making the experience leading up to their big day truly special.
