About the Couple

Kelsey and Thomas both grew up in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and now call Watertown home. Their story began back in 2015 when Kelsey started a new job — she worked in the front office, while Tom worked in shipping. What started as friendly hallway hello’s turned into something more, and soon their connection blossomed into a lasting love.

Tom is the kind of person everyone wants to be around — outgoing, funny, and always ready to lend a hand. Kelsey is a little more reserved until you get to know her, but once you do, you’ll find she’s kind, genuine, and loves deeply. Together, they make the perfect balance!

The Engagement

Labor Day weekend of 2023 will forever be one for the books. Kelsey was up north at her family cabin with their daughter, Mabel, her parents, and her sister — completely unaware that Tom and her family had a big surprise in the works.

When Kelsey returned from a craft fair, the group decided to take a boat ride. While they were out on the water, their neighbors helped set up a special surprise on shore — a sign that read, “Kelsey, will you marry me?” As the boat pulled in, Kelsey’s dad stopped right in front of the sign. Her reaction was pure shock (and maybe a few surprised words!) while Tom grinned from ear to ear, thrilled that he had managed to pull off the perfect surprise proposal.

The Big Day

For years, The Hay Loft had been a familiar sight on drives home — one that always sparked conversation. Tom would often say, “We should get married there!” to which Kelsey would laugh and reply, “Well, you haven’t asked me yet!” So when that long-awaited proposal finally came, there was no question where they’d say “I do.”

Their wedding was a beautiful reflection of who they are — simple, meaningful, and filled with things they love. Every detail came together perfectly, surrounded by their closest family and friends, celebrating a love that’s been years in the making.
