About the Couple

Some love stories begin with years of friendship. Kylee and Tyler’s began with a message and a little bit of spontaneity.

Kylee and Tyler both grew up in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Their families actually lived only about three minutes from each other, though at the time they had no idea just how close their lives were. They even attended the same high school, but since they were in different classes they only knew of each other and were never really friends.

Everything changed on an unexpected Saturday. On August 21, 2021, Tyler sent Kylee a message out of the blue asking if she would be his date to a wedding that started in just forty minutes. The catch was they had never even spoken before. Kylee decided to take the chance.

Her mom quickly curled her hair, her dad ironed her dress, and soon Tyler arrived to pick her up in a truck they could hear coming from across the highway. What could have been just a funny story quickly turned into something much more. They spent the night laughing, talking, and getting to know each other. From that moment on, the rest was history.

The Engagement

When it came time to propose, Tyler could hardly contain his excitement. The couple had friends over for a cookout when Tyler quietly whispered to his best friend to get the camera ready. In the middle of the evening he surprised Kylee by proposing in their shop.

Later Tyler admitted that this was not his original plan for the proposal. He simply could not wait any longer because he was too excited to ask Kylee to spend forever with him.

The Big Day

As Kylee and Tyler began planning their wedding, they knew they wanted a venue that felt warm, welcoming, and beautiful. When they found The Hay Loft Barn, they knew it was exactly what they had been looking for. The stunning space and a staff that was easy to work with made it the perfect place to celebrate their big day.
