About the Couple

Abby, from Fond du Lac, and Zach, from Stoughton, first crossed paths while attending Madison Area Technical College. Their first conversation came naturally, and it did not take long before they planned their first date at a Mexican restaurant in Madison, their favorite kind of food!

Between work, school, and the distance between them, Abby and Zach always made time for each other. Their effort and connection brought them closer, and they have been inseparable ever since.

Zach is carefree, lighthearted, and always ready with a joke, while Abby is quiet, adventurous, and happy. Together, they share a love for the outdoors and a fun, adaptable approach to life. They make a great team, always ready to enjoy whatever adventures come their way.

The Engagement

Their engagement was filled with Christmas magic! Zach originally planned to propose during a walk through Christmas light show, but the crowds had other plans. Not letting that stop him, he came up with a new idea and took Abby to a drive through light display.

Along the way, Zach spotted a gazebo beautifully decorated with Christmas lights. With no one around, they got out and walked over to take in the magical setting. With the snow falling and the lights glowing all around them, Zach got down on one knee and proposed. Although the proposal was meant to be a surprise, Abby had a feeling something was up!

It was a beautiful winter night and the perfect setting to begin their next chapter together.

The Big Day

For Abby and Zach, their wedding day was all about bringing their favorite people together for a simple, welcoming celebration filled with love and laughter. Abby even planted her own flowers for her wedding with help from her family, adding a special personal touch to their day.

One meaningful detail was their "Generations of Love" table, celebrating the love stories and marriages in their families that came before them. It was a beautiful way to honor their roots while beginning a new chapter of their own.

When Abby and Zach toured The Hay Loft Barn, they knew they had found their venue. They loved the beautiful barn, the freedom to choose their own vendors, and the welcoming atmosphere that made wedding planning feel easy. With a space that already feels so beautiful, they can focus on what matters most: celebrating their love with family and friends.
