Katie and Jake

Wedding Day

Their wedding vision of a rustic theme with touches of comfort came to life at The Hay Loft. Jake and Katie got married at The Hay Loft in June of 2018. Combined with the determination to stay under budget, and their handy work skills, Jake and Katie made their ceremony arch, wooden signs, cupcake display, centerpieces, invites and programs. The boys kept comfortable with no suit coats (good choice for a hot June wedding) and Katie rocked the navy-blue TOMS for optimal comfort and dance moves.

Favorite Memories

Looking back Jake and Katie had a hard time choosing a favorite moment of their special day! Katie reflects on the ‘first look’ moment. Maybe untraditional, but a highlight of the day. Maybe even topping the first look was when her dad walked her down the aisle. 7 months after getting married Katie’s dad passed away. That moment of pure joy and happiness on her dad’s face walking her down was unforgettable.

Jake enjoyed his first dance with Katie, his brothers best man speech, and an accordion song played at the reception – so unique and fun!

Why The Hay Loft

Jake and Katie say it was such an easy decision for them! The barn and outdoor space fit their rustic theme perfectly, it was beautiful! They also enjoyed that they could choose all their vendors which was a big priority for them. As family friends of the Otterstatter’s they were honored to have them as their hosts (and guests) for the day.

Where are they now

5 years and a daughter later, Jake and Katie are more in love than ever. They enjoy family vacations and dinner dates for Pho. They look forward to the many more adventure marriage brings them!

Katie and Jake – we are so thankful you trusted us for your big day! What a party it was. 5 years down and a lifetime to go!

Best Wishes!

Xo, The Hay Loft Team.
