Emily and Jacob

About the couple

Despite moving to Maine after college and then settling down in the state of Oregon, Jacob and Emily met in a small town in Wisconsin. From the 1st grade – high school they enjoyed each other’s company as friends and classmates. It wasn’t until college the two of them began dating. They are a perfect balance for one another. Both have similar interests that include hiking, kayaking, tennis and enjoying a quiet night watching jeopardy.

The engagement.

On a summer day in July, Jacob suggested the two of them take a drive to the coast. While walking the beach Jacob went a little further ahead. He pointed out a cool shell and Emily went to check it out. Taped to the back of the shell was a folded piece of paper reading, “Will you marry me?” Turning around Emily saw Jacob on one knee where she said yes to forever.

The Big day

The couple knew The Hayloft was the place to be when they were wowed on their tour. They love the simple elegance, high ceilings, and string lights. The fall colors are the perfect backdrop for such a special day.
